What people ask us most often

How quickly do you reply?

We reply to emails as soon as we can, usually within two working days. If you need a school talk date urgently, say so in the subject line; we give requests from schools priority. We answer the phone on working days, except when we are filming or giving talks. If you can’t get through, send a text or an email and we will get back to you.

I’d like a school talk. Where should I write?

Use the form on the For schools page, or write directly to info@skutecnykamarad.org. On the same page you will find the talk formats, how a booking works, and answers about cost, travel and age suitability. Our talks are held in Czech.

I need a donation receipt for my tax return.

We will issue one and send it by email; just ask. What we need from you and how it works for tax purposes is described on the Support us page.

I’d like to appear on the #odvážný (“#brave”) show, or I know someone who would.

Write to us at info@skutecnykamarad.org. We never push anyone into filming and we never try to talk anyone into it. Before filming we always have a phone call, go through what you want to talk about and what you don’t, and explain what filming involves. You can take part without giving your name and without showing your face. The decision is always the guest’s, and it can be changed even after filming.

I’m ordering the book for a school or library.

You can order the book using the form on the book page. For larger quantities, get in touch and we will agree the terms and invoicing to the school. The book is in Czech.

I’m a journalist and need a comment.

We provide comment on prevention, child protection and work with victims. Write to info@skutecnykamarad.org with your deadline in the subject line. We do not, however, put anyone in touch with guests of the show without their explicit consent, nor with people who have contacted us about their own situation.

Can you help me with a specific case?

We are not a crisis line, a counselling service or a therapy centre, and we cannot replace professional help. What we can do is quickly point you to those who provide it. You will find verified contacts on the Get help page. If a child is in immediate danger in the Czech Republic, call the police on 158.

How do you handle the information I send you?

We only process what you send us yourself, and only to deal with your message. We do not pass it on to anyone and we do not use it to send unsolicited communications. We describe this in detail in our privacy policy.
