What data we process

This website has no registration or user accounts and does not track individual visitors. We only obtain personal data from you when you send it to us yourself: through the forms on this website, by email or by phone.

• Contact details (name, email, phone, name of your school or company) that you give us when requesting a school talk, proposing a collaboration or asking a question.
• Book order details (name, email, phone if given, delivery address, number of copies and billing details) that you give us in the order form. We need them to process your order and send the parcel; we keep records of sales for the period required by accounting and tax regulations.
• Donation details (name, amount, the sender’s account number) if you send us a financial donation. We process them for accounting purposes and, where requested, to issue a donation receipt.

Forms on this website

There are forms on the For schools, Contact, Book and Informed Parent pages. We only process what you write in them yourself: your name, email, phone if given, the name of your school or company, a delivery address for book orders, and the text of your message. Submitted forms are technically processed for us by our hosting provider, Netlify, Inc., based in the United States, acting as our data processor. This means that form data is transferred to a third country outside the European Union; Netlify is contractually bound to protect the data, including through the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. Messages are forwarded to our email inbox and we keep them for as long as we need them to deal with your request and any follow-up arrangements. We do not use the forms to send marketing communications and we do not pass them on to anyone.

The forms are not intended for describing sensitive personal situations. If you need help, please contact the verified helplines and organisations directly.

Why we process it

• So that we can reply to you and arrange a collaboration (legitimate interest or, where applicable, performance of a contract).
• So that we can meet our legal obligations, particularly in accounting and tax (legal obligation).

We keep data only for as long as strictly necessary. For ordinary correspondence, this is usually for the duration of our collaboration and a reasonable period afterwards; for accounting records, for the period laid down by law.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data or pass it on to third parties for marketing purposes. Only our processors who provide us with technical services (email provider, website hosting, accountant) may have access to it, and always only to the extent necessary.

Cookies and visitor statistics

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies and does not profile visitors. We measure visits with Plausible Analytics. It does not store any cookies in your browser, does not collect personal data and does not create identifiers that could be used to recognise a specific person or track them across websites. All we see are aggregate figures: how many people came, which pages they opened, which country they were in and which website referred them, and how many of them went on to our YouTube or Instagram. The data is stored in the European Union. Because this measurement does not work with personal data or cookies, it does not require your consent. We load fonts from the Google Fonts service, which means that your IP address is sent to Google’s servers when a page loads.

Links to other websites

We link to the websites of other organisations (for example crisis lines, podcast platforms or donation portals). We are not responsible for how they process personal data; they follow their own policies.

Your rights

• The right of access to the data we hold about you.
• The right to have inaccurate data corrected.
• The right to erasure, where there is no longer a reason for processing.
• The right to restrict processing and the right to object.
• The right to lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (uoou.cz).
